Working-list item #72. Both plugin instances default mcpPort to 27125, so two vaults on one machine collide and the second loses its dial-out fallback. Read src/main.ts (the settings interface, DEFAULT_SETTINGS, the MCP server bind and the settings tab) and confirm the collision before changing anything. Fix: derive the DEFAULT port per vault — 27125 + (a stable hash of the vault name) % 100 — so two vaults never default to the same port, while an explicitly configured port is left untouched and existing installs with a saved port keep it. Show the effective port in the settings tab so Joel can see what a vault landed on. Add tests if the repo has a test surface, and run the repo's own gate (npm run gate).
Built by Connor's backend backburner (dispatch
b6071d07) in an isolated clone; shipped deterministically byship.py. The full build notes were spoken in conversation and stored in memory (agent-dispatch:b6071d07). Review is the gate. Gate:npm run gate.
